Health and Social Care - OCR J835: Cambridge National Level 1/Level 2
The course is split into 3 units:
All students will complete:
Unit R032: Principles of care in health and social care – exam unit.
Unit R033: Supporting individuals through life events
Unit R035: Health promotion campaigns
Unit R032: This unit is an examined unit where students sit a one hour and 15 minute examination paper, which is set and marked by OCR - the examination board
Units R033 and R035 (NEA’s) are assessed through a series of tasks for a set assignment that students will be given.
The assignments are set by OCR, marked by the head of department at Priory Academy and then moderated by OCR.

Term 2: R035 - Health promotion campaigns (NEA)
Term 3: R032 - Principles of care in health and social care (Topic area 1) (Exam unit)
Year 11
Term 1: R032 - Principles of care in health and social care (Topic area 2) (Exam unit)

Unit R032: Principles of care in health and social care – exam unit.
This is the examined unit of the course.
In this unit, students will learn about the key topics that are important when caring for and protecting people in health and social care settings.
Unit R033: Supporting individuals through life events
In this unit students will learn about growth and development through the life stages and how the needs of individuals have been affected by life events and recommend support to meet their needs.
Unit R035: Health promotion campaigns
In this unit of the course students will research health promotion campaigns and learn about their benefits to society. A health campaign with be planned and delivered.
