Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
As part of the way that the Government funds schools, there is a sum of money called the ‘Pupil Premium’. Allocation of the money is based on the number of pupils eligible for free school meals or has been eligible within the last six years, ‘Looked After Children’ and those with families in the Armed Forces. Please see Information Sheet attached for further details:

How may the Pupil Premium be used
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium funding as they see fit. There are no specific rules on how the money should be spent and it does not have to be spent directly on those children who are eligible. It is up to each school to decide on its own priorities.
